At Marcel’s Green Soap, they are strictly prohibited. And to assist consumers in making the right choice at the shelf, you'll now find the label "microplastics-free formula" on more and more of our products.
Microplastics in shower gel
Microplastics are still widely used in products from major brands such as Palmolive, Axe, Nivea, Dove, and L’Oréal. Not great, as microplastics have a detrimental effect on both the environment and our health. The exact dangers to our health are still being researched. However, at Marcel’s Green Soap, they're definitely out of the picture. That's why you'll now find the label "microplastics-free formula" on more and more of our products, helping consumers make the right choice at the shelf. The first products to carry this label are our revamped shower gels.
Singing in the shower gel!
Woohoo, our shower gels have had a makeover. Not only the packaging, but the formula has also been upgraded. And, surprise: a new scent has been added! Here's what's changed:
#1 Thicker gel that won't slip out of your hands
We sometimes received feedback that our shower gel would slip out of your hands too easily in the shower. That's not ideal, as it leads to a lot of wasted product. Our product specialist, Eefje, tackled this issue, and she succeeded: Marcel’s Green Soap shower gels are now thicker, making them stay put in your hand better.
#2 Even more nourishing ingredients
We've added extra aloe vera and plant-based glycerin for even more hydration and an extra soft feeling on the skin.
#3 New scent: Mimosa & Black Currant
Marcel’s Green Soap shower gel now comes in the scent 'Mimosa and Black Currant'. Mimosa was used by the Egyptians as a symbol of resurrection and immortality. Paired with the fruity scent of black currant, this fragrance combination ensures you'll smell fresh forever!The new shower gels are now available at various drugstores - and of course, also through our online soap shop.
Pssst… did you know that Marcel’s Green Soap shower gels also have many benefits compared to those of regular brands? Here are a few points where our shower gels outshine the competition:
- We use plant-based glycerin (vegan).
- We add more Aloe Vera for extra hydration.
- Marcel’s Green Soap shower gel is free from acrylates, carbomers, polymers, and other microplastics.
- Marcel’s Green Soap shower gel is free from PEGs and EDTA.
- Marcel’s Green Soap shower gel is free from dyes.
- Marcel’s Green Soap shower gel is at least 96% natural (only a small portion of the fragrance and a small portion of SLES are not).
